„Glossier has raised $100 million in Series D funding to build the future beauty company in collaboration with its customers.
Sequoia Capital led the round, along with participation from Tiger Global Management, Spark Capital, and existing investors Forerunner Ventures, Thrive Capital, IVP, and Index Ventures.
Founded in 2014, Glossier now has more than 200 employees across three offices, and operates in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, France, Denmark, and Sweden.
The company’s annual revenue more than doubled in 2018 and surpassed $100 million as a fully direct-to-consumer business, while introducing more than 1 million new customers to its portfolio of modern beauty and skincare essentials.
Earlier this month, Glossier launched a second brand, Glossier Play, as part of a broader strategy to grow by offering more choices to its diverse community.“
