Friendbuy: eVenture Capital investiert in Social Commerce

eVenture Capital Partners, das mit Otto-Kapital otto-unabhängig investiert, hat über seinen US-Arm BV Capital in ein Social Commerce Startup namens Friendbuy investiert. Das geht seit kurzem aus der Portfolio-Übersicht hervor. Über Friendbuy selber ist noch nichts bekannt.

Auf den eVenture Capital Seiten finden sich inzwischen auch die Asien-Investments, die über Infinity Ventures getätigt wurden.

Wie hängen eigentlich eVenture Capital Partners und BV Capital, die bekanntermaßen von einem Team gemanagt werden, zusammen? In der Selbstdarstellung heißt es:

"BV Capital is an international Internet-focused early stage venture capital firm. The firm currently invests out of its Fund III that was raised in 2009 and also operates eVenture Fund I, a dedicated European entity that covers investments throughout the whole of Europe, including the emerging markets Russia and the Ukraine."

Momentan ist die Investmentkooperative auch in den USA wieder sehr aktiv. Dort hat sich BV Capital jüngst an Ixtens beteiligt, das im ersten Moment sehr an TheBakery erinnert:

"While Amazon is an important partner, Ixtens solutions offer merchants an ability to seamlessly integrate with eBay, Overstock.com, Buy.com, Shop.com, and a variety of other marketplace.

In addition, Ixtens provides the necessary infrastructure for a merchant to turn their online store into a marketplace, leveraging partner product catalogs and inventory."

eVenture Capital Partners ist aktuell neben Tengelmann (s. Tengelmann beteiligt sich mit 10% an Stylight) und Holtzbrinck Ventures (s. Quo vadis, Holtzbrinck Ventures?) einer der umtriebigsten E-Commerce-Investoren hierzulande.
