The investments comprise both newly started companies as well as additional financing to existing companies as the online retailing companies Dafiti in Brazil and Lamoda in Russia, as well as in Glossybox, a company that provides services for beauty products.
Kinnevik has also signed an agreement for direct investment in Möbel Profi, a company that was started in 2009 to conduct e-commerce in furniture, with an initial focus on the German market.
During the third quarter, the additional funding of Zalando was finalised. Zalando started its operation in 2009 and over the past 12 months has launched online stores in Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. The company intends to continue its expansion geographically and through increasing its range of footwear, fashion and accessoires."
