Groupon peilt Börsengang für Ende 2011 an

Was will Groupon mit bis zu 950 Mio. Dollar frischem Kapital? Die New York Times berichtet heute von einem geplanten Börsengang Ende 2011:

"Groupon has attracted several big institutional investors, people briefed on the matter told DealBook on Wednesday.

The red-hot start-up is negotiating financing commitments with Fidelity Investments, T. Rowe Price and Morgan Stanley, these people said.

With its investor base expanding, Groupon is preparing to go public as soon as the end of 2011."

Laut Techcrunch hat Groupon etwa die Hälfte der 950 Mio. Dollar schon eingesammelt:

"As we suspected, the large majority of the money already raised is being used to cash out founders and execs, say new sources."
