Was, wenn Amazon Hunderte von Treasure Trucks losschickt, haben wir uns zum Start gefragt. Wenige Monate nach dem Einjährigen in Seattle hat Amazon seinen Treasure Truck (“A new way to shop with Amazon”) nun auch für weitere Städte angekündigt:

“At Treasure Truck, we hand-pick our favorite new, trending, local, or delicious items, load them on the Truck, then cruise around town spreading joy for everyone with a smartphone and an appetite for fun.

A hit in our hometown our fleet is crisscrossing the country to some secret destinations. We won’t spill the beans about where and when – but stay tuned!”

Worum es Amazon beim Treasure Truck geht, lässt sich aus der Markenanmeldung schließen:

“Computer software for promoting limited-availability sales of consumer goods; computer software for sending notifications and alerts regarding limited-availability sales of consumer goods; computer software for finding the location of limited-availability goods sales of consumer goods; computer software for viewing, ordering, purchasing and arranging for pickup of consumer goods; computer software for disseminating information regarding consumer product discounts; computer software for use in sharing information about deals; computer software for location mapping”

Während der Treasure Truck an Fahrt beginnt, baut Amazon zugleich bei Woot! ab.
