Nach der jüngsten Kapitalrunde meldet bei den Schnell-Lieferdiensten diese Woche Getir die erste Übernahme und schnappt sich Blok in Südeuropa:
“The addition of BLOK, founded by Vishal Verma, Hunab Moreno and Varun Kapoor in February 2021 and currently operating across several cities in Southern Europe including Madrid, Barcelona and Milan, will provide Getir immediate access into Spain and Italy, with Portugal soon to follow. Getir will also take on board BLOK’s existing team of more than 120 ambitious employees.
Getir was founded in 2015 as the world’s first ultrafast grocery delivery service in Istanbul and has grown rapidly in recent years. After their successful market entry in London in January 2021 and in Amsterdam in May 2021, Getir has continued its success story in Europe with recent launches in Berlin and Paris in June 2021.”
Wenn man den eher holprigen Start in Berlin verfolgt, dann dürften Übernahmen für Getir wohl in der Tat der sinnvollere Weg für die Expansion sein.
Gopuff hatte für seinen Sprung nach Europa unlängst Fancy in England übernommen. Außerdem hat es sich nach BevMo! jetzt bereits die nächste Spirituosenkette geschnappt (“Gopuff Continues Accelerated U.S. Expansion with Acquisition of Liquor Barn”).
